This pearly white bulb has many layers of small cloves in every bulb. Smaller plants are “weakly bolting” which means that they produce scapes but the scapes are small and the stems of the plants are often soft and pliable similar to softneck varieties. Harvest is 2-3 weeks later than main season varieties (Porcelain, Marbled Purple Stripe, Rocambole). Exceptional storage means we are often eating this variety by the time we are harvesting the next years crop.
