Tibetan is an unusual garlic variety in that genetically and appearance-wise, it does not fit into any of the 10 recognized horticultural groups within the garlic family tree. This outlier has finally started to produce fairly reliably within our garden. The plant is the last to emerge from winter dormancy every year and harvests about 2 weeks later than our main garlic crop. Hot and spicy when raw, excellent storage. An interesting garlic and one what is not very common in Canada.
